Senior SFMC & Data Cloud Solution Specialist

Accountabilities:
- Omnichannel Solution Ownership: Lead design, configuration, implementation, testing, deployment, monitoring, and optimization of Salesforce Marketing Cloud solutions that deliver measurable outcomes.
- Journey Orchestration: Build sophisticated, cross-channel journeys in Journey Builder using precise entry criteria, decisioning, goals, re-entry rules, contact policies, and exits to drive conversion and retention.
- Campaign Execution: Deliver compliant, scalable campaigns across Email Studio, MobileConnect, WhatsApp, and MobilePush, including consent, subscription, personalization, and channel-specific execution.
- Personalization Engineering: Develop dynamic experiences using AMPscript, Server-Side JavaScript, HTML/CSS, CloudPages, landing pages, and subscription or preference centers to increase relevance and performance.
- Marketing Data Engineering: Design efficient data models with Data Extensions, Contact Builder, attribute groups, send relationships, segmentation logic, and retention strategies to improve precision and deliverability.
- Automation and Platform Ops: Build and maintain Automation Studio workflows using SQL, Data Extract, File Transfer, Import, Filter, and Script activities; ensure reliable operations, monitoring, and incident resolution.
- Integration and APIs: Design and implement secure, scalable integrations using REST and SOAP APIs, webhooks, JSON payloads, authentication patterns, SFTP, and platform connectors to unlock new use cases.
- Data Cloud Audience Building: Configure Data Cloud data streams, DLO/DMO models, identity resolution, derived analytics, and segments; activate unified audiences into Marketing Cloud and other destinations.
- Cross-Functional Partnership: Translate marketing and business requirements into scalable, supportable technical solutions; collaborate with data, architecture, product, and IT teams to resolve ingestion, identity, consent, and performance challenges.
- Reusable Accelerators: Identify automation and platform improvements; build reusable components, standards, and accelerators to increase speed-to-market across brands and markets.
- Technical Leadership: Provide code reviews, troubleshooting, documentation, training, and mentoring for junior team members; chip in to solution architecture, design documentation, estimation, governance, and handover.
- Continuous Improvement: Optimize performance, enforce coding standards and coordinate release management, and champion guidelines that drive operational efficiency and consistent quality.
Essential Skills/Experience:
- Strong hands-on expertise in Email Studio, Content Builder, Contact Builder, Journey Builder, Automation Studio, MobileConnect, MobilePush, CloudPages, and SFMC setup or administration.
- Experience in carrying out email, SMS, WhatsApp, and push notification use cases.
- Advanced AMPscript and SSJS; strong HTML/CSS; working knowledge of JavaScript, JSON, and reusable development patterns.
- Expert SQL skills and strong understanding of relational data models, Data Extensions, segmentation, data quality, retention, and contact architecture.
- Good hands-on knowledge of REST and SOAP APIs, authentication, web services, webhooks, SFTP, connectors, and integration troubleshooting.
- Minimum 1-2 years of hands-on implementation experience with ingestion, harmonization, identity resolution, segmentation, calculated insights, and activation.
- Experience with testing, QA, deployment, monitoring, incident resolution, performance optimization, documentation, and release governance.
- 5+ years of overall experience in marketing automation or marketing technology, including substantial hands-on Salesforce Marketing Cloud implementation experience.
- Minimum 1-2 years of hands-on Salesforce Data Cloud implementation experience is mandatory.
- Proven experience delivering solutions for multiple clients, business verticals, brands, or geographies in a consulting, shared-services, agency, or enterprise environment.
- Experience owning technical workstreams or solutions from discovery and design through build, deployment, and operational support.
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, computer science, information technology, business systems, or a related discipline, or equivalent relevant experience.
- Confidently engage with global stakeholders, clarify requirements, challenge assumptions constructively, and communicate risks, dependencies, and recommendations.
- Facilitate solution workshops, technical discussions, demonstrations, knowledge-transfer sessions, and structured training programs.
- Mentor junior developers and campaign specialists through coaching, code reviews, reusable standards, and hands-on problem solving.
- Demonstrate strong ownership, customer focus, collaboration, analytical thinking, and the ability to make informed decisions in ambiguous situations.
- Present technical concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences.
Desirable Skills/Experience:
- Awareness or practical exposure to Marketing Cloud Next, including its evolving capabilities and alignment with Data Cloud-led marketing workflows.
- Experience connecting SFMC and Data Cloud with Salesforce CRM, external content platforms, consent systems, analytics platforms, or other enterprise applications.
- Knowledge of Salesforce Personalization, Einstein capabilities, MuleSoft, Apex, SOQL, DevOps or CI/CD practices, and source-control workflows.
- Exposure to regulated-industry campaign operations, privacy, consent, data-governance, and security requirements.
- Relevant Salesforce certifications such as Marketing Cloud Engagement Administrator, Developer, Consultant, Email Specialist, or Data Cloud Consultant.
